BuyerEdge provides AI-powered business acquisition analysis tools. This Privacy Policy explains how BuyerEdge collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our platform. By using BuyerEdge, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

BuyerEdge collects the following categories of information:

  • Account information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
  • Financial documents: Business financial documents you upload for analysis, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and tax returns.
  • Payment information: Transaction records processed through our payment provider. BuyerEdge does not store your credit card details directly.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns to improve the platform.
  • Contact submissions: Name, email, and message content when you reach out through our contact form.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide AI-powered analysis of your uploaded financial documents.
  • To process payments and deliver purchased reports.

4. Data Storage and Security

BuyerEdge takes data security seriously. Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. All data is encrypted at rest. All connections to BuyerEdge use HTTPS with TLS encryption in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.

While no system is completely immune to security threats, BuyerEdge implements industry-standard safeguards to protect your information.

5. Third-Party Services

BuyerEdge relies on the following third-party services to operate:

  • Supabase: Database hosting, authentication, and file storage. Your account data and uploaded documents are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
  • Anthropic Claude: AI-powered analysis of your financial documents. Document content is sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models.
  • Lemon Squeezy: Payment processing. Your payment details are handled directly by Lemon Squeezy. BuyerEdge does not store credit card numbers.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. BuyerEdge is not responsible for the privacy practices of these services.

6. Data Retention

Uploaded financial documents and generated analysis reports are stored for 30 days by default. After 30 days, documents are automatically deleted unless you choose to keep them. Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be removed within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data BuyerEdge holds about you.
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Export: Download your analysis reports and account data in a portable format.
  • Correct: Update or correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Withdraw consent: Opt out of non-essential data processing at any time.

8. GDPR Compliance

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. BuyerEdge processes your data based on your consent and legitimate business interests. You may request data portability, restrict processing, or object to processing at any time. BuyerEdge will respond to all valid requests within 30 days.

9. CCPA Compliance

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act grants you the right to know what personal information BuyerEdge collects, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. BuyerEdge does not sell your personal information to third parties.

BuyerEdge uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
